My stay at Geraldsplace in Edinburgh was a convenient experience for my transit during my travel. The location of the hotel was one of its biggest advantages, with the nearest airport being just 9 km away. This made it incredibly easy for me to catch my flights to and from the city. Geraldsplace is conveniently located just 1 km from Edinburgh Waverley, the main train station in the city. This allowed for seamless travel connections and made exploring Edinburgh a breeze.
The bathroom was not en-suite, which was an oversight on my part when I booked.

Great value for the money, comfortable rooms, and close to the city center. Gerald, the host, was welcoming and gave excellent advice for exploring the city. The breakfast was delicious and the private park across the street was a bonus.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety.

The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was close to all the main attractions and had plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing us with all the necessary information about the area and making us feel at home. Additionally, the room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for our weekend stay.
The rooms were not properly cleaned, and there was a lingering smell of dampness throughout. This affected our comfort and made it difficult to fully enjoy our stay.

The beautiful home and its thoughtful touches made our stay even more special. We truly felt like we were staying in a treasure. The location was perfect, with easy access to the bustling heart of the city and charming local spots. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and a delightful treat. our time at Geraldsplace was unforgettable and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The room we stayed in lacked a proper view, with only a small window near the ceiling.

Whenever I visit, I'm never disappointed. The friendly staff helped serve my elderly parents during my first stay, which I appreciate. With Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a dryer, and an electric kettle, it suits me perfectly. And I keep coming back for romantic escapes. No regrets!
